Titan Teacher Training has successfully trained teachers for over 30 years. We work in partnership with Primary and Secondary schools across Birmingham to deliver outstanding school based Teacher Training. We support you with gaining your first teaching post and many of our trainees choose to stay within our partnership of training schools.
The Titan Primary SCITT offers training across Key Stages 1 and 2 (5-11 year olds).
The Titan Secondary SCITT offers training across Key Stages 3 and 4 (11-16 year olds).
The School Direct mirrors our SCITT programme entirely with the only differences being that you would apply directly to the school.
Titan has a long history of working with schools who wish to offer a School Direct Salaried route.
Titan Partnership’s End Point Assessment provision is managed by the Director of ITT
The Assessment Only (AO) route provides a pathway for those who have considerable experience of working in schools.

Ross manages the Titan ITT programmes on a day-to-day basis and is the key point of contact for all schools involved in the programmes. He works closely with the trainees and delivers many of the additional elements of the programmes. Ross also develops, manages and delivers the Titan CPD and Training Programme, including the new NQT offer.

Titan Partnership offers several teacher training routes. The accredited body for the SCITT is Titan St George’s Academy. Our partnership schools are in Birmingham’s inner city: Aston, Handsworth, Handsworth Wood, Lozells and Nechells.

This has been the hardest and yet most amazing year of my life and … I’ve loved every moment. Titan gave me the opportunity as a mature student to pursue a career that I was struggling to break in to. My first degree wasn’t great but after 18 months working as a TA I got my teacher training opportunity.
Be under no illusion that this will be the busiest, most intense and stressful year but, it will prepare you totally for your NQT year. The support that Titan staff afford you as well as the close-knit environment with your fellow students ensures that you have an outlet for the hundreds of amazing moments you will experience, but also those moments when you need a helping hand and sometimes… shoulder to cry on.
Titan Partnership offers a real life, hands on experience of teaching in schools. Both schools that Titan placed me in gave me a valuable insight into the life of a teacher. The support offered from the SBTs was given in real time, and was effective and constructive to ensure I was making progress.
The Titan cohort was small, therefore Claire got to know you individually, which is important if you have any questions or queries. Also relationships within the group were free flowing which was important as when I had a really challenging or exhilarating week, I could share my experiences with my colleagues.
Even though this year was tough, it was really important for me to have fun at my placements. Being resilient and non-defensive about feedback is crucial as this helped me become a good trainee. I would definitely recommend Titan to anyone looking into teaching!
